Our Journey of Faith

A Story of Compassion, Courage, and Unwavering Hope

1988

A Calling Begins

At just 16 years old, Evangelist Illana Junious answered her calling, taking to the city buses and streets of Chicago, Illinois. With passion and conviction, she began bringing souls to Jesus Christ, planting the seeds of a lifetime devoted to serving others and spreading hope.

Early 2000s

Ministry Behind Walls

After moving to Lafayette, Indiana, Illana continued her evangelical mission by preaching and teaching in churches behind the walls—bringing the message of redemption and transformation to those society often forgets, demonstrating that no one is beyond the reach of God's love.

2021

A Divine Revelation

When a homeless shelter opened across from her home at 1201 Union Street, Illana witnessed people struggling in the rain and winter snow. God spoke to her heart, and she responded without hesitation—opening her cars and garage to shelter those in need, feeding the hungry, and taking them to church. One rejection at a church only strengthened her resolve to serve unconditionally.

2023

Without Walls Ministry is Born

God gave Illana a clear vision and a name: Without Walls Ministry of Hope, Deliverance and Salvation. Beginning services in her driveway every Tuesday and Saturday, she dedicated herself to helping those battling addiction, destitution, and despair—providing transportation to doctor appointments, assisting with job applications, and offering what the homeless truly need: hope and a touch from God.

Trials of Faith

When facing false accusations and the threat of 350 days in jail, Illana stood firm. After appearing on Judy Justice (Season 3, Episodes 92 & 93) and winning her case, she then faced termination from her 14-year employment where she worked over 70 hours weekly—sometimes 90 hours in a single week—to support those on the streets. Yet through every attack, she never wavered from her God-given mission to help people.

Building a Foundation of Hope

Taking a leap of faith, Illana purchased a small commercial vacant lot (27 feet wide by 180 feet long). Every Saturday, she sets up on the property to feed 150 to 200 people—individuals who often receive only cereal in the morning and sandwiches at 4 PM from the shelter. People come saying they're hungry, and she provides what they need: nourishment for both body and soul.

Today

The Mission Continues

Without Walls Ministry of Hope remains steadfast in its mission to shelter, clothe, and feed the people of Tippecanoe County, Lafayette, Indiana. As winter approaches, the need grows greater. With your support, we're working to build proper facilities including a kitchen and shelter, ensuring that no one goes hungry or without hope in our community.
